I have talked to the witness from Market Basket about 3 times.  She was 19 at the time, Carol and an unknown man, in his early 30s (her estimate) went thru her checkout.  Carol bought a fresh chicken.  At the time she thought the gentleman was either her husband or boyfriend.  She didn't have any conversation with them. Later, when the investigators spoke with her, she learned the man was not her husband.  She is quite sure he was not S.E, when I showed her his picture but not 100% positive.  I don't have a picture of the Doctor but he was in his 50s at the time and  doubt that he would have looked in his 30s but can't be sure.

The investigators were looking for someone with reddish hair (from descriptions from the eyewitness' of the man and red car) and the man she saw had reddish hair.

The Market Basket lady didn't see any vehicles they were driving.  Carol didn't seem nervous or upset but she was only in her line a couple minutes.

This has been corrected to be the Market Basket in Allegany. Not the one on No. Union St. in Olean.

Thanks to Pegster, I was able to clear up which store it was.  I never thought to ask.  I shouldn't have assumed there was just the one Market Basket in Olean.

Janey, I don't want any names or anything, but could you just tell me if Market Basket lady still lives in Allegany?  And if she remembers a lot of strangers/ construction workers in town, doing road construction on the southern Tier expressway?

She lives in Gowanda now and recently had her house flooded and is dealing with that disaster.  I will certainly ask her your question.  She wants to be helpfull even tho she keeps reminding me that she has told me all that she remembers.

In June, I did see a psychic on this case.  She gave me the initials of C.J or J.C. (she heard the initials so fast that she wasn't sure which way they were).  I have posted on topix these initials but not that they came from a psychic.    I have searched for this person high and low.   The psychic said this person is in prison but not on murder charges but she didn't know what for.(it took awhile but have gone thru inmate records too)   Other clues given me.  "University connection", "red car".  She called him a "stalker"  "maintenance person" or "janitor" "watched her for several weeks" "parked on the side road"  She said there was a "composite done" of him.

I never told the psychic anything, just handed her a pic of Carol.  she did ask me right away if the lady had been stabbed?  If her head was injured?  Asked me if she was killed in her house? did it happen in Cat county?   so she was picking up on Carol.  She said that Carol and Dan have moved on and are okay.

Wow. If you truly didn't tell her anything prior, even inadvertantly, that is amazing insight.  I personally think its a random person who has not been discussed, and I never really believed a red car was involved.

 I have to ask, but was the psychic from wny?  Is it possible she was familiar with the case?  Just the fact she knows there is a catt county made me wonder that.  Other than that, t is a pretty amazing reading!  The university connection really gets me too  Cause they really have had a lot of strange workers there.  Janey, I have talked to another Market basket employee too.  She talked to Carol that day also.  I think she worked in the meat department and still lives in Allegany today.

No, the psychic wasn't familar with the case.  I live 4 miles from Lily Dale and I had 3 mediums recommended to me.  I have only seen the one so far.  She first said, "this did not happen in Chautauqua county but did it happen in Cattauraugus Co"?  She had no idea what I was there for and was giving me a reading about myself when she suddenly asked me to give her the pictures I had brought with me. (she didn't know I had pics with me)  She did not look at Carol's pic, she asked me to put the pic between her hands and she did the reading that way.  She didn't see the pic til she was done.
